It Takes A Village To Plant A Garden

Preparing for the Morse Community Garden Opening

We harvested eggplants, peppers, tomatoes, lettuce, kale, basil, sage, rosemary, oregano and thyme to bring to the opening of our latest community garden at Morse School on Beekman Street.

Remember when we planted lettuce at the end of August?

It gave us an opportunity to photograph the not quite end of season on Valley Street. Soon we'll be planting a cover crop on some of the beds and truly putting the garden to bed for the winter.

Check back to find out when you can come help with the garden cleanup.

Preparing for Winter

Even in the heat we are working in the garden and cleaning it up for winter. It's hard to believe we are preparing for winter when it's almost ninety degrees out but it will be here before we know it. Stop by the garden 5-6 on weekdays to help us clean up, we promise it's actually fun.
